CURRENTLYWATCHING.png

As I said in my last post, I’m currently watching the most amount of dramas/variety shows at once than I ever have (thanks to being off-contract at work and no money coming in for me to actually live a social life) so I figured I would talk about them. Note: this list does not include the shows I have started and have no want to continue watching them.

This part is all about the dramas!

Quiz From God (Season 4) - 신의 퀴즈
I loved the first two seasons of this show: the amount of stronger females in the top leadership positions, the cross between Bones/Castle, a crime procedural: love. I had started this a very long time ago, and told myself that this summer was the summer that I was going to finish it…and then season three happened. I am about 6 episodes into the fourth and last season and even getting to look at Dong-hae isn’t helping it.

Black - 블랙
I have an off and on relationship with this show, it has it’s moments where it is really awesome and I liked the journey it was taking me on, but there are just too many moments where it was lagging to the point that I haven’t picked it up in a while. I am strongly leaning towards Go Ara’s character being the reason, whether it be the way it’s written or the way she is acting, its just too much. But Kim Tae-woo is incredible and I love every part he’s in.

Sketch - 스케치
This is currently airing, and is the only reason it’s stopping me from marathoning it. It’s a crime procedural with an sci-fi element starring Rain. What more could I ask for? Maybe a lead girl with the “gift” who doesn’t get herself in trouble so that the cute boy will save her but for a moral objective? Yes please!

Live - 라이브
Another crime show…and I am now realizing that there is a current pattern in my watch list. This is a first for me, because even though I love a crime procedural (the only American shows I watch are those: Criminal Minds, NCIS, CSI…) I usually go for the romance dramas. This one is fun because it’s a look into the Korean police force that I have no knowledge of.

Miss Panda and Mr Hedgehog - 판다양과 고슴도치
I confess, I like Dong-hae. It’s cute, but not the best so it’s my when I’m bored show.

Miss Hammurabi - 미스함무라비
Honestly, I might give up on this series. I started to like it, but I’m starting to really not like Go Ara’s character. It’s a little too unlikeable for someone who is supposed to be the moral character. I understand that I haven’t watched enough to really solidify my opinion, but I have no want to pick it up now, but I’ll keep it up to let the queue of eps fill up (maybe I don’t like Go Ara?)

Come and Hug Me - 이리와 안아줘
It is surprising how good this show is. It’s 100% a show I would marathon if it wasn’t currently airing.

Flower Boy Next Door - 이웃집 꽃미남
I randomly started this show and then five episodes passed and here we are.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (anime) - 新世紀エヴァンゲリオン
This is a rewatch of the series, but on my old blog I had thought it would be fun to do a rewatch of it since it’s been such a long time since I’ve watched it and I had this grand idea of writing about it, but that hasn’t happened. But I’m still watching it randomly.

Violet Evergarden (anime) - ヴァイオレット・エヴァーガーデン
I don’t watch anime much any more, but it’s so easy to watch them nowadays that I dabble every once in a while. Netflix suggested this, and it’s really beautiful and I found it interesting.

Love Affairs in the Afternoon - 昼顔 - 平日午後3時の恋人たち
Currently the only J-drama I’m watching. It’s good, but I dropped it a while ago but do plan to finish it. I’ll probably end up doing it when I’ve caught up with the rest of this list.

I will try to keep the Currently Watching page up to date, so check there for the most recent list
