Ten Spooky Asian Dramas on Netflix/Amazon

October has officially started, and I’m kicking off the month with a video recommending ten spooky Asian dramas that you can find on Netflix and Amazon. At least as of right now.

If you’ve seen all of that list, don’t worry. Your drama is probably on another list that I have planned for the future. However, there are a lot of dramas out there and I can’t list all of them, so here are some honorable mentions that I didn’t get to include (I really wanted the video to not be more than ten dramas!):

  • Who Killed Daigoro Tokuyama?: I didn’t want to keep putting idol dramas on the main list, and so this one didn’t get added (even though it was another Amazon Prime offering). It’s a surreal dark comedy that’s pretty wacky. I’m about halfway through the drama and I’m kind of into it.
A House of Blocks: I’m only about 3 episodes into this one, but I kind of like it. It’s slow and eery and more atmospheric than anything. If that’s what you’re into, this is a good option.

  • Anjjan Special Crimes Unit: I actually don’t watch Indian dramas (recommend some to me!), but that doesn’t mean I’m not interested to start with one that looks like the X-Files. There is a series of Anjaan dramas on Netflix, but I’m not quite sure if they are all tied together. If you know, tell me in the comments.

  • Green Door: While I didn’t particularly like this one, I know several people who have so this Taiwanese drama might be perfect for you. This one is about a psychologist who has to start dealing with the paranormal at his house.

  • Day & Night: I haven’t watched this one, but Netflix thinks this would be my favorite drama ever if I just clicked play. So I guess that says something? This isn’t a horror, but it is a crime drama and from the looks of it a lot darker than most, and that’s why I thought it should go on this list.

  • Sleepless Society: This is 3 part of a series of Thai dramas that all kind of fall in the spooky realm. I haven’t seen it yet, but all are on Netflix and would be a good option if you find you like one so you can have options.

Let me know you’re favorite spooky drama below (not just from Netflix/Amazon)! I’m going to be watching exclusively that all month, and am willing to pick up some new options. I’m pretty much willing to try anything and no level of horror is too much for me so the creepier the better.
