dramas

This week I didn’t really watch much anything, mostly have been watching DAY6 vlives (specifically the Wonpil playlist ones) but I did start a new jdrama, because why not start new when you have like 8 other shows you can watch?

The drama is called Please Love the Useless Me. The first episode was a little rocky, but by the last ten minutes, I was hooked by some of the relationships that were starting to develop. I’m going to give it another episode before I know if I like it enough to continue.

news

If you missed it, I posted a 2019 music recap and talked about some of my favorites early in the week. This year I’ll probably be more focused on music, so if that’s your thing I’m also posting a song recommendation a day on my instagram/twitter, so follow if you want to hear more about some good music!

-MBC Awards
The MBC awards happened, and while I don’t really follow award shows, I was really happy to hear that Park Na Rae took home a Daesang. She really deserves it, I love her as a comedian.

-Heechul
Heechul revealed that he was taking care of Sulli’s cat after her passing. I really suggest you read the article as he talks about some of the issues he was faced with, and how it was affecting him as well as finding the strength to talk about it after Yoo Jae Suk mentioned her.

-Gainax President
It was recently announced that the president of Gainax, an anime studio, had been arrested on assault charges of a minor. Gainax currently owns rights for Evangelion, and the series creator spoke out about how his show was being unfairly used in the press. This is a really good report on the whole mess.

-Crash Landing
Weather forced the team of Crash Landing On You to halt production for a while. There was talk about how they shouldn’t have even been in the position in the first place, but there really is no way around it. If shows want to be produced during the winter, it doesn’t matter if they pre-produce or not, it’s just going to happen. What is good is that they are not taking things lightly not trying to push through for the safety of the staff and actors.

-Lee Hi
She’s finally freeeeeeee!

-L’s Youtube
Infinite’s L has opened up a YouTube. Did you know I have a section on the site with all of the hallyu YouTube channels I find? Find it here.

-Dongsung
Dongsung, the cute and adorable bassist who was in the group HONEYST before they disbanded, has been N.Flying’s stand-in bassist for a while now is officially in the group and I could not be any happier!

-Nayeon
Nayeon of Twice has been having an issue with a stalker for a while now, and things escalated as he was able to obtain flight information and get on board and try to approach. Luckily managers were there to stop him but it’s scary and terrible.

-TK from Ling Tosite Sigure
The Japanese artsist (and one of my favorites) TK from Ling Tosite Sigure announced that he will release an album this spring.

-Jun.K
All the Old Boys are currently out of the military. Yay!

-Taemin
Taemin also announced that he’ll be releasing an album in March. Does that boy sleep?

-B.I.
B.I. has released a track after his departure from iKON, which is exciting news. I’m glad he’s at a stage where he feels free to release music again. He deserves his songs to be heard, and his past should never define his future. Here’s to even more!

-Coachella
Look who’s back and coming to Coachella !!

videos

-I miss Chansung :(

-DAY6 is wonderful and perfect

-2Idiots (N.Flying’s Cha Hun and Jaehyun) are officially back with their YouTube channel, and the first episode just made me fall in love with their sisters. I need their channel, like yesterday.

-You should watch Park Na Rae’s sweet acceptance speech:
