February Dramas '21

febdramas21.jpg

Since the month had so many premiers, it was a slow month in progress. As of writing this, I haven’t even finished my plan of watching the first season of Voice. Hopefully, since some of the dramas are ending and some I just didn’t jive with, I’ll be able to catch up. I really want to finish all of those seasons before the 4th one comes out.

Also, because I’ve started doing more dedicated posts on the premieres of dramas that I am interested in, I’m scaling that section back. What you would normally find in it, is going into those dedicated posts. So if you want my thoughts and feelings going into the drama being released, make sure you check back for my premiere posts,

+ Completed

  • The Uncanny Counter - 경이로운 소문: This drama has just so much potential to be so, so good. And it got so far to that goal that I’m very much sad that it just couldn’t do it. At this point, I’m praying there was an actual good reason why the writer was kicked off, cause that change was noticeable and did absolutely nothing. Except, for what I am to assume, to change plot points to allow for this drama to have a second season. Which is outrageous because they didn’t even have any story for the last episode. By like episode 15 you could tell that not only was the writer not good enough to flow with what was already given, and didn’t actually have any story to make up. I can’t believe it’s getting a second unneeded season. Oh if this show had been a 12 episode. It would have been a 10/10. :/

  • Detention - 返校: I had this sitting at half the series for way too long. One of my failed attempts at finishing 2020 dramas before the end of the year, I stopped keeping up with it airing and then it was easy to push it off for others. I also in general had been doing a lot of research (i.e. specifics for the podcast) watches that added to that. And the fact I’m still not actually ok with what’s going on. But I did accomplish getting the series done. It was a fine drama. Not the best horror, not the worst. Just a nice watch. It’s slow, and after the first initial ghosty parts, that goes away and I wish it had kept up the creep factor, but it was a fine little drama.

+ Currently Watching
I’m at varying points in all these dramas and I’m a mess right now. It’s a lot so they are all kind of there waiting on the sidelines for whatever I’m feeling. I also have some that I was waiting on and will get to the soonest (Beyond Evil, Vincenzo).

+ New Dramas/Movies
Thankfully, it is small!

Mar 3 Mouse - 마우스

Mar 22 Joseon Exorcist - 조선구마사

and I’ll need to get to Voice 2 as well
