November Dramas

I can’t believe it’s already December. There are a lot of dramas that have just started, and more that will happen this month. I think my watching list is about to get a bit crazy.

+ Completed

Trying to get through my Year End Challenge goals, and did pretty good. A lot better than I had expected to (I’m really not motivated to watch things most of the time - and that’s ok. It’s just nice to see progress).

  • Missing: The Other Side - 미씽: 그들이 있었다: I keep telling everyone I’m going to write a review on my feeling about this drama and I will. Just give me time. I promise, it’s on my list (just like all those other posts I promised and haven’t done anything with). Small review: what I loved I loved, and what I hated I hated. But most people just love this one, so go forth and don’t let me stop you.

  • Train - 트레인: I actually really liked Train. It was fun, it had some interesting storyline surprises, and the parallel worlds thing was cool. It was a pretty solid crime drama.

  • Lingering - 호텔 레이크: This was kind of an “eh” movie for me. It was alright, a little slow (and I’m cool with slow) but didn’t have a lot to it. It was fine.

  • Zombie Detective - 좀비탐정: I enjoyed this a lot more than I had expected. Did I like all the comedy? No. But it didn’t really mess up the rest of the story for me.

  • Suishou no Kodou - 水晶の鼓動 殺人分析班: I wasn’t going to pick up a new drama that wasn’t on my planned watches…but I really liked the first season of this series and it just called to me. Like the last one, I watched this basically in one day. If you like shows like Criminal Minds you’d be into this one.

  • The Victim's’ Game -誰是被害者: I started this drama because Netflix kept pestering me. It was pretty good, I don’t understand the need for the Asperger storyline…especially since it wasn’t super consistent. They played him up in the first half, and it kind of just went away towards the end (which was weird, cause the show was SO into being realistic with all the crime things they did). I wasn’t really into it as much as everyone else. Definitely worth a watch, though.

  • Nobody Knows - 아무도 모른다: I really liked this drama all the way through. The crime mystery storyline was interesting and different, the actors were solid. It’s definitely a drama I recommend to pick up if you were on the fence.

+ Currently Watching

I haven’t picked my next drama from my list yet, so this list is entirely airing content.

  • Pearl Next Door (Filipino drama)

  • The Uncanny Counter - 경이로운 소문 (kdrama)

  • Awaken - 낮과 밤 (kdrama)

  • Tale of the Nine Tailed - 구미호뎐 (kdrama)

+ New Dramas/Movies

I just realized almost my entire list is airing on Netflix. Um, Netflix…are we besties now?

Dec 1 The Guest - 손: The Guest // Netflix
I may not get to this, but I want to.

Dec 5 Detention: The Series - 返校 // Netflix
Do I know anything about this other than it is a supernatural horror drama? No. Do I need to for me to give it a try? No.

Dec 10 Alice in Borderland - 今際の国のアリス // Netflix
I have a feeling this might drop all at once. I’m on the fence about this one, but am intrigued (and will always throw a view at a jdrama uploaded on Netflix)

Dec 15 The Closet - 클로젯 // VOD (no news yet where)
The movie was released back in Feb, but just now getting International distribution. This one looks delightfully creepy. Hoping it shows up somewhere easy!

Dec 18 Sweet Home - 스위트홈 // Netflix
I hope this drops all at once, cause this one might turn out to be a favorite of the year.

Dec 23 Your Name Engraved Herein - 刻在你心裡的名字 // Netflix
I’ve read that this is incredibly good and incredibly sad. Glad that Netflix picked it up!
